India- India is a vast South Asian country with diverse terrain – from Himalayan peaks to Indian Ocean coastline – and history reaching back 5 millennia. In the north, Mughal Empire landmarks include Delhi’s Red Fort complex and massive Jama Masjid mosque, plus Agra’s iconic Taj Mahal mausoleum. Pilgrims bathe in the Ganges in Varanasi, and Rishikesh is a yoga centre and base for Himalayan trekking.

In India people speak and write 12 different languages: Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, English and Sanskrit.

If we talk about the food so we do have lot of varieties in food. Mostly people like to eat spicy food. Indian people uses so many spices like pepper, chilly, fennel seeds, Asafoetida, black cardamom, peppercorns, black cumin, charoli, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, coriander powder, fennel seeds, fenugreek, green cardamom, licorice, mustard seed, nigella seed, nutmeg, mace, poppy seed, saffron, turmeric, ink-nut, dried red chili powder and many more.

If you will travel to India, you will find the healthy, tasty, crunchy, spicy, salty, gravy, sweetest food. Everywhere you can find the small stalls of street food, the restaurants, brands of food, the hotels and many more places to eat and enjoy.

Liquor- Alcohol prohibition in India is in force in the states of Gujarat, Bihar and Nagaland; as well as in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. All other Indian states and union territories permit the sale of alcohol.
In Gujarat Foreigners and NRIs are able to purchase 30-day liquor permits.

India, a union of states, is a Sovereign, Secular, Democratic Republic with a Parliamentary system of Government. The President is the constitutional head of Executive of the Union. In the states, the Governor, as the representative of the President, is the head of Executive. The system of government in states closely resembles that of the Union. There are 29 states and 7 Union territories in the country. Union Territories are administered by the President through an Administrator appointed by him/her. From the largest to the smallest, each State/UT of India has a unique demography, history and culture, dress, festivals, language etc.

29 States are as follow-
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka,Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

7 Union Territories are as follow-
Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
